This event aims to promote several activities related to the sea and develop a true maritime economy, launching synergies between the different actors, public and private, from this sector in Cape Verde.

SCMA, as Recognized Organization (RO) by the Cape Verdean Administration (AMP-CV), presented this week, on October 27th, an exhibition entitled Maritime Safety, aimed at maritime accident versus safety management aboard, which had the support of conventions such as SOLAS , MARPOL, LOAD LINES and STCW as well as the codes CASUALTY and ISM of IMO.

It was concluded that the companies, meaning the shipowner or any other organization or person such as the manager, or the bareboat charterer, who has assumed the responsibility operation of the ship from the shipowner and who, on assuming such responsibility, has agreed to take over all duties and responsibility imposed by the applicable regulations, can provide a soul force necessary to cultural change!

In the framework of the Cape Verde’ Sea Week, SCMA will be represented with the stand No. 10 in EXPOMAR 2015, from the 29th to the 31st of October in Mindelo, where we can meet the maritime and harbour community of Cape Verde and expose our services in the maritime activities, as the Recognized Organization (RO) by the Cape Verdean Administration (AMP-CV).
